Our Story

It is our hope that you will join us in helping the children and their families and our senior adults that are neglected, abandoned and abused. We believe the desire to share your heart is the result of your heart acting in love.

Share Your Heart program is an initiative that: supports and provides food and supplies to maintain hubs within the Department Of Children and Families  (DCF) Service Centers, Miami Dade County Public Schools with School Police, and 13 Miami Dade Community Action and Human Service Centers; trains volunteer chaplains or peace ambassadors to meet the needs of individuals, seniors, children, victims of domestic violence and families in crisis or distress who are referred by state and local agencies in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties; and partners with faith organizations to serve the community and respond to disasters/emergencies in Miami Dade County.

We provide approximately 70,000 lbs of food each month to our communities through our 13 Miami Dade Community Action Centers and our Community Partners.

About Canstruction

Canstruction® is a unique charity art exhibition and event featuring structures made by teams of volunteers, youth groups and/or Canstruction contractors. Our structures are made entirely out of full cans of food. At the end of our exhibitions or events all food is donated to local hunger relief organizations. Some Countywide Can Art Exhibition participants compete against one another in the Canstruction International Competition to win titles for the best structures.

Recognized for our commitment to art, innovation, and hunger relief, our art exhibitions and events have helped raise over 50 million pounds of food to local foodbanks since 1992.

The idea of Canstruction was inspired by a group of New York Architects and Engineers in 1992. These architects introduced Countywide Canstruction Competitions as a way to unite the design, engineering and construction industry. Through this innovative and fun exhibition the Architecture & Engineering community was able to provide art and inspiration to the local community as well as canned food to local hunger relief organizations. Today Cansculptures® are created by Industries of various backgrounds including Construction, Agriculture, Education & PR firms to name a few.
